Physical &Nutritional Wellness Training

Research confirms that nutrition and physical activity play an important role in maintaining
good mental health and are two potential interventions to improve the management of
mental health disorders. We practice techniques that are designed to enhance the mind and
positively impact the body. Mind and body are believed to be one system, and physical
ailments can be seen as stored psychological pain.
Exercise: Everyone knows that exercise is good for the body, but exercise is also one of the
most effective ways to improve your mental health. Exercise can have a profoundly positive
impact on Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Aggression, PTSD, Stress, & much more. Most
importantly, it promotes all kinds of changes in the brain, including neutral growth, reduced
inflammation, and new activity patterns that promote feelings of calm.
Some other known benefits of exercise are: – Improved social skills – Improved wellbeing –
Reduces fatigue – Increase in energy and stamina – Helps with nervous system – Enhances self-
esteem – builds stronger resilience – provides stress relief – Increased endurance –
Improvement in mood – Increase in mental alertness – Weight reduction.
Nutritional Psychiatry: Offers much promise for addressing the large disease burden
associated with mental health disorders. New studies focused on understanding the
biological pathways that mediate the observed relationships between diet, nutrition, and
mental health. A very large body of evidence now exists that suggests diet is as important to
mental health as it is to physical health.
Food is fuel, and the kinds of foods and drinks you consume determine the types of nutrients
in your system and impact how well your mind and body can function. A healthy diet is
protective while an unhealthy diet is a risk factor for depression and anxiety. What you eat
affects how your immune system works, how your genes work, and how your body responds
to stress. We can have so much power over our mental health with the right exercises, food
and nutrients.
